Rochester Quiz Trail

We have tried this kind of guide from a few companies. To be honest this one (Rochester) wasn't as good as some others we have done as we prefer clues that need a bit more puzzling out rather than expecting you just to spot specific - and pretty obvious - geographical features. We also prefer clues to be woven into a stronger central theme that leads to some kind of reveal at the end based on all the answers. That having been said there was a bit of puzzling at the end to turn the answers into a final solution which we enjoyed doing over lunch. This would have been better if all the answers had fed in rather than just some of them.

There also wasnt really much differentiation between the clues for adults and for children, and we thought a couple of the clues for children were actually trickier.

Overall though the guide did add some new interest to a trip to a local town that we have visited many times before and we did spot a few things by following the guide that we had never noticed before. The pages of historical information included in the guide were also useful. We will try another one.

We really enjoyed the trail. Was a good distance and made up look around at the history of the area.

Another great couple of hours spent searching around for answers, and when it rains just pop in somewhere for tea.

Lovely trail, discovered places we'd not seen before , considering we go to Rochester regularly.

Very good and although we’ve lived here for over 40 years we learnt lots.
