There are two areas on the walk where a short alternative route is given to avoid steps. Mermaid Street is fairly steep with cobblestones.

We found it very enjoyable. Some of the answers were tricky to find but that added to the enjoyment. We will definitely be doing another one.

We chose a boiling hot day to visit Rye, but had a brilliant time. We got off to a dodgy start when we were unable to complete question one!!! Thankfully we found the answer when we completed the quiz, and went back to the church, where I decided to sit on a nearby bench...and then spotted the names! It took us all afternoon to complete the trail, because we kept stopping for very enjoyable refreshments along the way, pork pies and local cider in The Ypres Castle Inn garden, afternoon tea at The Cobbles, a quick pit stop at The Old Bell. Every sit down gave us a chance to read all of the history and interesting facts printed in your very informative Quiz Trail & Souvenir booklet. We are looking forward to completing our next trail and have recommended you to friends. Thank you

Very much enjoyed the quiz. There were 6 adults doing it for a 60th birthday event. Learnt lots and had a fun time.

Me and my wife did it together. Thoroughly enjoyable. We have been going to Rye for many years, but we saw places we hadn't seen before. We learnt some interesting facts along the way. We now have the Sevenoaks one to do :)
