Please note: The actual blue colour we supply may be different to that shown in our product photos, due to the supply of raw materials (lighter or darker). Due to the limitations or screens rendering colours, the colours will be different in real life. The item is made from PLA plastic. We don't recommend using this product outside for extended durations, as the colours will fade over time in sunlight. If you do use this outdoors, we would recommend a UV protection spray to extend the lifespan of the product.
Returns: Returns are accepted only where there has been an error on our part, such as a spelling mistake. 3D printed items are crafted to your order, and may contain imperfections or defects from the 3D printing process. Therefore, 3D printed custom items are non-refundable.

The renowned London blue plaques scheme began 150 years ago and is the oldest scheme of its kind in the world. They were the creation of British politician William Ewart in 1863, and the blue plaque system is said to be the oldest such scheme in the world.
Blue plaques have played an important role in the history of the conservation movement. The foundation of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings was later in 1877, and the National Trust was founded in 1895.
The blue plaque is now a permanent sign installed in a public place to commemorate a link between that location and a famous person or event, serving as a historical marker. It has been administered by different organisations through the years, including local authorities and regional societies.
The first Blue Plaques ...
The first Blue Plaques ...
The first two plaques were erected in 1867. The first commemorated the poet Lord Byron at his birthplace, 24 Holles Street, Cavendish Square. When this house was demolished in 1889, it left the other ‘first’ plaque to be the oldest on its own. This makes the plaque to Napoleon III on King Street, Westminster the oldest survivor.
How many are there?
How many are there?
London comes out on top with the most blue plaques, with a total of 3376. This is to be expected, considering it is the capital of the UK rich with history, famous figures and landmarks. Edinburgh comes in second place, with a total of 379 blue plaques. Birmingham comes in third place with 329 plaques.
Kent is home to more than 400 blue plaques commemorating notable figures. Blue plaques famous folk in Kent include The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, David Bowie, Carry On stars and James Bond creator Ian Fleming.
Surrey gets a bit mixed up with London so it’s tricky to find specific numbers. In East Sussex a blue plaque commemorates Charles Dickens proudly displayed on a house he regularly visited. Now there’s a man who was widely travelled! He was certainly making the most of the new mode of transport in Victorian days … trains!

What is a Quiz Trail?
What is a Quiz Trail?
A Quiz Trail is a self-guided walk taking you on a circular route - showing you the highlights. We started making our Quiz Trails from a love of history - each booklet is packed with local history. We are a Mum and two (grown up!) daughters and as a family we'd visit places - walk around the middle bit and go home not having learnt very much about the area. Our trails make sure you see and learn lots more during your visit!
How long do they take?
How long do they take?
We keep our trails under 2 miles and they take about 1 to 2 hours -got to leave time in the day for a drink and an ice cream! You can stop at any point during the trail - there's no time limit - you can do them entirely at your own pace in your own time.
Do I need one booklet per person?
Do I need one booklet per person?
Our Quiz Trails are made for sharing - one booklet is all that's needed for a small group. They have adult questions and an extra set of questions for juniors - you complete the answers as you go. They are an activity old and young can do together. The junior questions are geared to about 5 to 12 year olds but we've had great feedback from teenagers having enjoyed the trails just as much as the younger ones. Perfect retirement activity too. All ages can enjoy doing a Quiz Trail - we hope you enjoy them.
