Broadstairs: The Crampton Museum

The Crampton Museum celebrates the great engineer and inventor, Thomas Crampton, born in Broadstairs in 1816. He brought gas and the first public water supply to Broadstairs and was the first to succeed in laying a telegraph cable under the English Channel . We wonder what he would have made of the mobile phone world we live in?!
